ho ho ho! its the xmas week!
time sure flies, and before i know it, the year 2009 is coming to end already.
more importantly, xmas is coming!
this year i had a bit of help in my usual xmas preparation, so do look out in your mailbox from the 23rd onwards yea =) sorry its arriving a bit late coz work has been really super duper busy the past two weeks. the peak period is going to set in really soon we expect, so do miss me!
its beens two super duper bz weeks, on two different jobs.
its been pretty interesting, one is a paper/boxes company, another is a budget airline. last week i had to reach lakeside at 8 every morning, practically dragging myself out of bed at 5.45am for the paper company located in fourth chin bee road. this week, there was no specific timing and since the airport is so near (FINALLY my first eastie client thank goodness), i get to wake at 730am and still get to the airline office in T1 at 9am woots~
nonetheless, both the jobs was uber super duper rush, which explains my disappearance past two weeks.
oh ya back to what i meant to briefly blog about.
xmas is coming!! 6 days more! i’m soooooooooo not prepared for xmas yet!

When is the Safari Zoo Run 2010?
The Safari Zoo Run 2010 is on 6th Feb 2010 (Saturday) at 3.30pm.
Where will the run be held?
The run shall start at the coach bay between Singapore Zoo and Night Safari, and finish at Singapore Zoo.
How much is it?
Adult fun run 6.2km – $38.
Register by December 2009!

shall shall we go for this? early bird before Jan 2010 signup is $45. Includes: “Women’s 10km & Team Participants will each receive a race kit bag containing an exclusive adidas Event Singlet and other goodies. Finishers in these categories will also each receive a Finisher’s medal unique to the category. “
ok the singlet etc is besides the point but its a great activity! at first i was thinking of the half marathon but 21km is a little crazy (ie 400m a lap, 21000/400= 50 over laps omg) so 10km seems safer.
i havent been working out/exercising/doing anything for the longest time ever and i think most of u ppl are too! so get off ur butt and lets go!! haha. reply here!
i saw the signs la. when the secretary said she had to put my china visa on hold last week. but today i received a call. apparently, there’s some change of plans and the china side has enuff ppl for the job le =(
nth is confirmed as of yet. but high chances, no more winter chinaland.
oh the bright side. i have more time for more xmas gatherings.

ok the plans are finally more concrete now..
i’ll be flying SQ down to Shanghai on 26th dec (sat) morning 7am, reaching there around 1pm.
tentative 1 day in shanghai to explore and get some more winter stuff that i may need (shoes/boots, gloves, long john, ear muffling etc actually i dunnoe if really need those, so go there then see how hee).
27th afternoon, going to take a 4hrs car ride into Jiangsu/Nanjing area to client’s place. work for two weeks, at two locations thats supposedly pretty near each other. last day of assignment on 9th Jan (sat), then driver will send me back to Shanghai hopefully around evening time.
9th night, meet jing for dinner perhaps (is there anything to do at nite in shanghai? i only get to spend 2 nights in shanghai for the entire trip =.=) then crash somewhere. then 10th (sun) i get to go shanghai shopping/exploring w jing! im assuming china stuff are generally cheap, so if u want get anything, tag this post w the exact name/description of what u want kays =) for eg, my mum wants natural looking fake eyelashes haha.
11th (mon) midnight aka 10th late night, i’ll take the flight back to sg. will reach at 5am odd. go home change and prepare. for work in 3 hours’ time. hopefully i’ll survive!
Jac: will u be in shanghai on 26/27th dec? we can arrange to meet up if u tell me in advance then i can “abandon” my colleagues come find u haha.
Jing: forgot to ask u, u wanna stay over with me on the 9th night? can eat/chitchat then next morning go out straight =) i can pay for a double room MAYBE can claim from work lol
so exciting! its going to be my first winter, first SIA flight, first overseas work trip and first china experience!
the only slightly down-side, hopefully i wont miss out too many xmas/year-end gatherings >.< pls pls pls wait for me to come back kk!!

my mum’s operation went alright. THYROID VARIOUS LESIONS HEMITHYROIDECTOM. sounds chim. but thankfully its not too major. hopefully no after-effects/complications, then she shl be able to discharge either tml or wednesday le.
hospital visits bring back memories. mostly bad ones. the cycle of life and death…
treasure your close ones well. for one never knows what the next day may bring.
there was a recent update to my work schedule, lo and behold, i’m plotted for a 2 weeks stint in Shanghai come late december to early january 2010.
first i was swarmed w excitement. then came the worry part. its gg to be winter time then. like 0-5 degrees apparently. how am i gg to survive with no winter wear nor luggage hmms. another thing. how to bring biz wear over in luggage, sure crumpled one >.<
hopefully hopefully things go well and smooth.. i may get to enjoy a mini holiday trip after all!
ok i’m lazy, so instead of blogging/uploading the fotos of my bdae surprise, pls refer to here =)
speaking of which, things to remind self:
1) get fotos from jing (raw and edited both)
2) return amy the camera AND charger haha
3) beat someone to the bill everytime. for the all things spent on me. i noe u’re broke liao. so do not resist.
oh nos its gg to be monday. but the up side to it, its gg to be a short week! friday is hari raya haji =))
